RADIO SKONTO continues its digital transformation
With the aim of promoting RADIO SKONTO’s digital transformation and ensuring its sustainability, SIA “RADIO SKONTO LV”, with support funding from the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility Plan reform and investment direction 2.2 “Digital Transformation and Innovation of Enterprises”, investment 2.2.1.5.i “Promotion of Digital Transformation in Media Sector Companies”, within the activity “Modernisation of Media Sector Company Processes”, continues the implementation of the project “Creation of a Radio E-store and Updating and Adapting the RADIO SKONTO Broadcast Management System to Promote the Radio Station’s Digital Transformation and Sustainability.”
During the implementation of the project:
• the RADIO SKONTO broadcast management system has been updated and adapted, the list of technical resources and tools (computers, servers, etc.) has been updated, and the necessary equipment has been purchased;
• on 15 September 2025, an agreement was signed with SIA “Datateks” for the creation of the Radio e-store. Within the project, by May 2026, the digital platform design, user journey, and test version have been developed. The development of e-store content has begun, as well as the integration of the platform with the required services and company systems.
The project is implemented by SIA “RADIO SKONTO LV” together with cooperation partners. Project No. 2.2.1.5.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/022. Project budget: EUR 393,287.11. Project implementation period: 9 December 2024 – 30 June 2026. Project results to be achieved: an updated RADIO SKONTO broadcast management system and a developed Radio e-store digital platform. The implementation of the project goal will help the radio station not only adapt to modern media consumption trends but also promote sustainable development and increase competitiveness in the digital age.

RADIO SKONTO begins digital transformation
RADIO SKONTO is starting its digital transformation with the development of a new online radio store and the upgrade of the RADIO SKONTO broadcast management system.
To support RADIO SKONTO’s digital transformation and ensure its sustainable development, RADIO SKONTO LV Ltd., with funding from the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Plan under Reform and Investment Direction 2.2 “Digital Transformation and Innovation of Enterprises,” Investment 2.2.1.5.i “Facilitating Digital Transformation of Media Industry Enterprises,” and the activity “Modernization of Media Industry Enterprise Processes,” has begun implementing the project “Creation of an Online Radio Store and Upgrade of the RADIO SKONTO Broadcast Management System with Adaptation to Digital Transformation and Ensuring the Station’s Sustainability.”
Project goal:
To develop, test, implement, and launch an online radio store (digital platform) that will serve as a catalyst for digital transformation and sustainable development of the radio station by increasing the reach of its advertising services, generating e-commerce revenue, and reducing the environmental impact and resource consumption of commercial activities;
To acquire and adapt updates to the RADIO SKONTO broadcast management system to meet modern digital requirements and needs.
The project is being implemented by RADIO SKONTO LV Ltd. together with partners. Project number: 2.2.1.5.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/022. Project budget: €393,287.11. Implementation period: December 9, 2024 – June 30, 2026. Expected outcomes: an upgraded RADIO SKONTO broadcast management system and a developed digital platform for the online radio store. Achieving these goals will help the radio station adapt to current media consumption trends and promote sustainable development and enhanced competitiveness in the digital age.
