Dmitrijs Kuzņecovs

Hi! I’m Dima. Back at the beginning of the century, winding paths led me to radio, and since then, I’ve spent nearly every workday morning with headphones on and a microphone in hand.
Despite how easy the job might seem, today’s demanding SKONTO PLUS audience keeps me on my toes and constantly pushes me to stay in tune with the latest trends in the media world.
Now, alongside the microphone, a smartphone and social media have also become essential tools for a radio host. So tune in to 102.3 FM, and catch me and my colleagues on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook!

See you soon!

Anželika Višņevska

As a child, I had a toy microphone, and I loved singing loudly into it. When people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I proudly said, “A singer.” I didn’t become a famous singer, but I do have a great connection with the microphone!
Once, I was invited to a radio show as a guest. After the broadcast, they said, “Miss, you have such a beautiful voice and it’s so interesting to talk to you — we need people like you.” That’s how my love affair with radio began.
I can talk endlessly about anything, I love to laugh — even at myself — and I can’t go a day without music. I love our morning broadcasts — we get messages and calls from the best listeners in the world!
So what are you waiting for? Turn on SKONTO PLUS in the morning and drop us a message!

Working at SKONTO PLUS means enjoying what I do and (I hope) bringing joy to others; being surrounded by wonderful, talented, and driven colleagues; and working under the banner of the most famous and respected SKONTO brand.

I’ve always been a creative person and have always loved music. Being a radio host is the perfect combination of both. Many years ago, I heard that a radio station in Riga was holding a contest to find new presenters. I thought — that’s for me! And it truly has been mine for many years now.

Listeners often thank me for heartfelt greetings, interesting information, or for a joke that made them laugh. I believe that if even one person on the other side of the radio smiles or learns something new, then it’s all worth it. And those moments — they matter the most.

What does working at SKONTO PLUS mean to me?

It’s probably my escape, my passion, my hobby, my love — and I even get paid for it. Could there be anything better?

Here I can fully express my creativity, let my imagination run free, and be surrounded by equally creative and driven people — which makes my work at SKONTO PLUS even more amazing.

What brought me back to radio was a deep longing for the microphone, for listener feedback, and for the media world I missed so much during my maternity leave. I guess I just realized that this is truly where I belong — where I feel completely in my element.

The most important thing for any radio host is to be heard and, of course, to receive feedback from listeners. That’s when you know you’re in the right place and doing everything right.
The inspiration came a long time ago, back when shows were still recorded on cassette tapes. My love for music played the main role in choosing this profession.
For me, it’s also about the work schedule! Starting at 3 PM is my ideal creative time!

I strive to deliver important, verified, and up-to-date information to our listeners, helping them navigate the flow of news from Latvia and abroad.
I’ve been in journalism for over 20 years. Personally, working at RADIO SKONTO PLUS is a school of professionalism and self-discipline.
Here, I’ve been able to discover new skills and learn how to connect with an audience I can’t see, but know is listening and hearing me.

Karīna Drebeinieka

Just 10 years ago, I couldn’t even imagine myself sitting in front of a microphone or having a life tied to the daily flow of news — in fact, I couldn’t even dream of it. But one moment changed everything and life fell perfectly into place.
As a student at the academy, after one of my presentations, a member of the panel who had been observing me approached and asked, “Have you ever thought about trying radio? I see you in this field.” She didn’t just ask — she already had a specific offer.
Of course, it would’ve been silly to turn it down, and that’s how I began my journey at one radio station. Years later, I got the chance to become part of the RADIO SKONTO PLUS team — and that was truly a gift of fate!

To say I love my job is an understatement!

Working at RADIO SKONTO PLUS gives me a sense of freedom. I’ve never once regretted my choice.
